NJStar Communicator v2.75.9618 - Supports Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 3

We are pleased to announce the availability of the latest NJStar Communicator version 2.75. This version supports Microsoft Internet Explorer version 8 and firefox 3. An option is added to not dock the inputbar. Auto-correction is added for Unicode text on the clipboard. It is now very easy to copy any double bytes CJK text and then paste it as Unicode text without doing any manual conversion. This function is very useful for fixing MP3 song title in iPhone/iPod/SonyPSP. This version has been tested on Windows 7 without any problem.

2009-07-18: Bug Fix: MS Word/Execel 2003 crash on start if a Japanese Font is selected for Chinese Characters.

NJStar Communicator supports Firefox 3 now

There has been some major changes in Firefox 3 regarding to how the Chinese text are displayed on the screen. NJStar Communicator was having problem converting Simplified Chinese to Traditional Chinese, and vice versa. After some hard work, we found the right solution for the problem. I am happy to report that the case is now closed. You can now upgrade to v2.73.8618 if you are using Firefox 3.

Running NJStar Chinese/Japanese WP on Linux and Mac under WINE 1.x

NJStar WP Version 5.25 can now work on Linux under WINE 1.x. WINE is a free open source program that allows running of most Windows programs on Linux. Here is how to install WINE on your favorite Linux Distro. After WINE is installed, you can simply download NJStar from here, then run it to setup on Linux. We have tested it successfully on Centos 5, Fedora 9, OpenSuse 11 and Ubuntu 8.04. Here are some screenshots. We are very confident that NJStar WP will run equally well on all Linux distributions under Wine 1.0 or above. It will also work on Apple MacOS X with CrossOver for Mac.
