Notarization of Marital Relationship and Working Experience in China

A.    Notarization Of Marital Relationship 

Evidentiary materials required for applying for notarization

1. The valid identity document of the notarization applicant

* A natural person now living in China shall provide: (1) ID card; (2) Household register.

A natural person now living overseas shall provide: (1) Passport (a valid visa is required) or a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or Hong Kong and Macau resident ID card and pass or other foreign resident certificates; (2) Original household register or the evidence for the cancellation of a Chinese household registration.

2. Notarization of marriage: Marriage certificate, photos of both husband and wife

3. Notarization of divorce:

* Divorce certificate and divorce agreement registered at the bureau of civil affairs or

* A document of civil mediation issued by the court or

* A document of civil judgment issued by the court

4. Notarization of singlehood: singlehood certificate/no-marital-status certificate

5. Notarization of non-remarriage: Other than the above specified three materials, a certificate of non-remarriage shall be provided.

6. Photos: N+1 two-inch identification photos with the same original negative shall be provided for notarization of marriage, here the letter N refers to the number of copies of notarization needed.

7. If not handled by the applicant himself/herself, a power of attorney and the ID card of the trustee shall also be provided.

B. Notarization of Working Experience

1. The valid identity document of the notarization applicant

* A natural person now living in China shall provide: (1) ID card; (2) Household register.

* A natural person living overseas shall provide: (1) A complete copy of passport or a Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or Hong Kong and Macau resident ID card and pass or other foreign resident certificates; (2) the evidence of the cancellation of a Chinese household registration.

2. Resume certificate

3. Certificates that can prove employment relationship such as employment contract and employment handbook

4. Professional and technical qualification certificates

5. Photos: N+1 two-inch identification photos with the same original negative shall be provided for notarization, here the letter N refers to the number of copies of notarization needed.

6. If not handled by the applicant himself/herself, a power of attorney and the ID card of the trustee shall also be provided.
