1.    Procedures to transact main foreign-related notarizations

Under normal conditions, the party should submit a written or verbal application to the notary organ in person to transact the foreign-related notarization. If the party could not be present by himself, the agent could hold the letter of authorization issued by the party to transact relative notarizations.

2.    Express certification of Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Three workdays

Instruction of certification of the Department of Consular Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The documents applying for consular certification consist of civil documents and commercial documents, which all need to be notarized by the foreign-related notary office or verified by special organ. The certification application for civil document from individuals will not be handled by the Certification Office of Department of Consular Affairs, and the party could entrust the institution appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to transact the consular certification as agent.

3.    Charging components of certification

The certification charge includes three components, i.e. the certification charge of the Department of Consular Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the certification charges of embassies and consulates. Please consult relative charges through telephone because various embassies and consulates have different charging standards aiming at different documents.

In normal conditions, the express certification (2-3 workdays) of the Department of Consular Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs needs about one week.
